Honeycomb

Posted by Hello

This is honeycomb from our robbing of the bees. Different colors of honey are from different types of flower nectar while those top cells (lightest color) are empty. Real honey is incredibly flavorful. Commercial honey may have a certain percentage of sucrose in it, while pure nectar honey is 100% fructose. What that means is that commercial producers feed their bees sugarwater and you pay honey prices for that. Our honey is also incredibly flavorful. The wax makes the most fragrant hand dipped candles -- they smell like the honey. I also use some to harden things like salves or body butters that I make for us.
