Funny Bunnies
We've had rabbits before. Well, we've actually had rabbits for a long while. And daughter #2 has taken good care of them. Ah, but now we have these new rabbits to breed for meat and selling and daughter has a business plan for them and well, we're just excited about all the possibilities. This new black one may even already be pregnant.
And we got two blues and a white as well.

ccol!
... always thought Hasenpfeffer was the perfect name for a pet bunny. Keeps 'em from getting too uppity. :)
That last one is a blue? It reminds me a bit of the shade of the Blue Heeler cross we had when I was a kid.
that sort of gunmetal grey is called "blue" I understand. I had a manx cat that color once.
Lovely! We raise bunnies for meat - have off and on for years. Rabbits were our first "livestock" animals ;).
I think we got rabbits first too -- while we still lived in town -- although chickens were a close second (although they had their home out here from the beginning, before we did!)
That was our order, too - rabbits first, then chickens (several years later), and now we also have ducks. Of course, that's about as many animals as we'll be able to have here ;).
Well done to Daughter. The hutches look good and safe from preditors. Hope she finds a use for their pelts too - I remember loving my rabbit fur slippers my Nana brought back from a holiday in Australia in the early 1970s.
And I hope DG and Husband's vege garden is going and growing strong in late Springtime for you all.
My Kumikumi/zucchini cross is still putting out flowers and growing big fat zucchs even though it no longer gets any direct sun light - it must have triffid in its ancestry!!!.
DG ... I meant CG!
January (equiv of your July) was very chilly and wet here, so I guess the kumikumi/Zucchini cross is trying to make up for lost growth back then. I'm just delighted it has grown so well for me - a Townie growing vege for the first time ever at age 45. And loving it.
