Flickr Meme

Flickr Meme

a. Type your answer to each of the questions below into Flickr Search.
b. Using only the first page, pick an image.
c. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into fd's flickr toys mosaic maker.

The Questions:
1. What is your first name? shall remain anon but I used it, sort of. This is definitely who I feel like.
2. What is your favorite food? milk gravy
3. What high school did you go to? Raiders (this is the photo that reminded me most of what being in high school was like, and Burton got me lots of Tim Burton, ironically no Richard Burton, what is the world coming to?)
4. What is your favorite color? Blue
5. Who is your celebrity crush? Sam Eliot (and this photo taken about the time I fell in love with him too -- anyone else remember a mini-series called, maybe, Wings of Eagles?)
6. Favorite drink? Jack
7. Dream vacation? Beach
8. Favorite dessert? Molasses sundae (they didn't have this! What? Even Cracker Barrel has this! They didn't even have anything real for molasses which are made from sorghum, not cane, not beets, but sorghum. Ok, so I'll go with chocolate which isn't really a desert but a food group.)
9. What you want to be when you grow up? Fearless
10. What do you love most in life? possibility
11. One Word to describe you. Ornery
12. Your Flickr name. That was easy

Go to this mosaic's flickr page for attributions and a bigger, prettier view of it. There are some amazing shots, especially the last one I think.

Come on, now,do this, it was fun.

Sorghum molasses?

We crackers know that cane is best
when picking out a sundae dress. :)

OK, I'm stupid fer sure. I've tried repeatedly to create my mosaic and get the tags and they don't show up.

I feel like such a failure.

Beautiful pictures! But be careful that you don't use any license-required photos, I got a snarky email from someone, even tho I used the same attribute html you did. I ended up changing my mosaic (to something ironically better, I think).

Some really cool shots there. Love the house with the sun behind it. Love the granny in the kitchen. Love that long lake, that beach. Yeah, some really good shots.

Well, Annette, I was struck with the solitariness of all the shots I chose. Am not sure what I think about that. But I think the milk gravy one is my personal fave.

Cielo, I'm pretty bad at this stuff. I just searched fd's flickr toys to get to big huge labs and clicked mosaic maker and put in the links and said "make it" and then I had it sent to my flickr account which is why I can't figure out how to make it bigger than this on blogger and why the tags aren't on blogger.

Which, I didn't put any instructions on I just realized. oops. That may be an edit.

As far as snarky people, they put it in the public arena on flickr, and I'm not making money on it so they can go snark themselves (and I would probably change it to a better photo too! Unless it was the milk gravy one, or that little girl in the first one, and they had no other decent chocolate ones because they were all too fancy smancy chocolate, not just plain eat a lot of me chocolate, and I really like Mary's foot on the snake too, and I like the heron but I don't like the wires, and I love the house with the sun, I love it for possibility, and it also seems the most connected, familial photo of the bunch, I only wish for a photo of Sam Eliot on a horse with his shirt off).

Funny what you wrote about "fearless" because I was playing a game in my own head about what three words I would want people to say about me when I die. The only one I liked (or cared about) was "she was fearless".

I think that might make a good blog post....

Anyway, your meme was fun to read.

Yeah, well, that's what I did too and my tags aren't even on Flickr from when I uploaded.

But, I do know how to make it bigger. Save it as a .jpg to your computer, then upload it to blog. At least that's how I did it for wordpress.

I like the solitary-ness.

ok, the tags are in the script box below the pictures once generated. You can take the script and embed it in the html section of your blog editor and I might just be speaking Greek... (sorry).

I would also like to see a photograph of Sam Eliot with his shirt off. I will let you know when I find it.

For the people currently in need of a good snarking, there is an option to opt out of the big fun toy thing or whatever it is, otherwise, as CG notes, it is indeed a public forum.

Kmoo? Is it you?

Cielo said...

Well, you have to have a script box below the pix in order to get the html and embed it, yadda yadda. Silly me was using right-click and properties to find url to pix instead of just clicking the pix. Sometimes it pays to be less computer-geeky.

I's wondering the same thing about Kmoo....

kmoo's been engaging Eleu in math skills I think, so he's around.

Yeah yeah yeah on all the computer geek stuff ho hum.

As for Sam Elliot, there is this film where he takes his shirt off and although he's neurotic in the film, well, it is just the BEST film -- see it -- Off the Map. Truly recommended.

Yes. Off the Map is such a good watch. Compelling.

I just watched the trailer. He did have his shirt off. He's lost nothing, absolutely nothing in all these years. Good God, I have to get through the rest of the day now.
