Semi-Colon

Two and a half days eating with family but not at my home, and not my food. This has been the first extended family gathering not at my house in ages, at least that we've been a part of.

There are lots of things, but here is the biggest thing. Or the smallest thing. Three days eating. And not a bit of fiber the entire time. The only whole grain food the whole and entire time -- my chocolate cake. Imagine chocolate cake being the example of whole food! Not that stuff wasn't good, it was, very good. But processed. Very very processed and refined.

And cooking supper tonight -- beans and backbone, spinach, raw broccoli salad, corn gems -- what my brother called our "colon blow cuisine" -- I had this one thought. And I'm afraid it is indelicately put, so be forewarned:

What? Do these people sh*t three times a month whether they need to or not, or what?

Are you sure it was a semi-colon? That diet puts me more in mind of a full stop.

When an episode like that is punctuated with a period, things can get really awful...

Reminds me of my hospital stays, when they would bring that cart of goodies around and you could buy snacks to supplement the meal tray offerings, and I would scan the cart hopefully for a granola bar or even a fruit, but no, just chocolate/candy stuff. And I would wonder how I was ever supposed to produce the movement they kept asking after, when they wouldn't serve me anything to use in composing it.

When I was a kid, my pediatrician would ask if I was "regular". I didn't know what that meant. What, every day? No WAY!

Now I know. A clean colon is not an empty one.

but the answer is..."no i am not regular, and i do not intend to be so!!" te he heee

i don't get how people stand to not be "regular" and in this particular sentence i mean..poop, shit, crap, whatever you like.

you can literally set the clock by me. in fact that is my alarm clock...every single morning!!

I can't imagine living that way anymore. So much more energy when you don't have 3 day old steak and potatoes brewing down there!
