Grasp the Nettle

The less money we have, the less money we spend. There is just some cosmic thing to that.

The less money we spend, the better we eat. There is some cosmic thing to that too.

Ages ago in my life a man made a speech about priorities. “If you say this is your priority,” he said, “and yet you do not do this, then this is not your priority.” I got it. Whatever it is we do, actually DO, not what we SAY, not what we intend or chant or posture but what we do, is what is really important to us. Thoughts and intentions change things, primarily our actions.

So many times people say to me, "Oh, homeschooling would be so good for my child, but we just can't afford to. We're (saving up for a trip to Disneyland, paying off the new car, buying a bigger house). Otherwise we'd definitely be homeschooling." Priorities.

...and these blogs are very public journals where I'm learning that if I can't post it on my blog I probably shouldn't be doing it at all.

Sometimes I need reminding of just where my values lie and what I truly want to be doing, so listening to others, and myself, through our contemplations on these blogs is helpful for insight and growth.

Many of your thoughts CG have been especially meaningful to me.

In other words, actions speak louder than words. I couldn't agree more.
